Dr. Alex Gee talks with Patrick Marcus Yates about his career with TDS and as a community leader. Patrick Yates is the Manager of Diversity and Inclusion for TDS Telecom and shares how was an innovator in the Loaned Executive Project initiated by Alex Gee. Patrick Yates tells the story of how he split his time between human resources with TDS and as the Director of Operations for the Justified Anger movement. Together they discuss diversity in the workplace and corporate environment.

Remembering Alzheimer’s with Guest Fabu Carter

Join Dr. Gee on a personal journey through his families experience of Alzheimer’s. For the first time, Dr. Gee openly shares about his mother’s diagnosis of Alzheimer’s. To understand more about the disease, Dr. Gee talks with Outreach Specialist with The Alzheimer’s Disease and Research Center, Fabu Carter. They discuss the importance of awareness around the disease and especially the research needed among the African American community.

Mass Incarceration with Guest Jerome Dillard

Dr. Alex Gee talks to Jerome Dillard, the State Director of EXPO (EX-Prisoners Organizing). Jerome shares his own amazing story of incarceration and re-entry. Hear about the work he does with EXPO to end mass incarceration, eliminate all forms of structural discrimination against formerly incarcerated people, and restore formerly incarcerated people to full participation in the life of our communities.

Jerome Dillard has more than 20 years of experience working with formerly-incarcerated people, and with people in prison.  He is a founder of Voices Beyond Bars in Madison.  Jerome has worked for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, and has most recently been the director of re-entry programs for Dane County.
